Opening Reception: Friday, November 8 from 6:30pm to 8pm
Rebecca Cole’s work presently is targeted on the reinvention of entomological cataloging, show and also the assemblage of forms. Each form is hand attracted then intricately control slashed from carefully chosen report, concentrating on recycling a medium that could usually be discarded and lost. She dissects tiny information on shade, imagery and text into silhouettes which can be then re-sculptured, pinned and encased. Rebecca’s aim would be to change an every day object into an item of work that attracts the audience to see beyond its initial supply.
Amy Genser plays with report and paint to explore her fixation with surface, design, and shade. Evocative of normal types and natural procedures, her tasks are simultaneously irregular and bought. She makes use of report as pigment and constructs her pieces by layering, cutting, moving, and incorporating report.
